When a 12yrd dumpster is dumped out onto the ground it looks about the size of a midsized car. You may be able to look at this as a “full” 1 car stall in your garage.

Take the bed of a full sized pick up truck. 8’ X 4’ X 2.5’ = 3 cubic yards.

2 pick-up truck loads is equal to a  6 yard dumpster
3 pick-up truck loads is equal to a 10 yard dumpster
4 pick-up truck loads is equal to a 12 yard dumpster
5 pick-up truck loads is equal to a 15 yard dumpster
7 pick-up truck loads is equal to a 20 yard dumpster
10 pick-up truck loads is equal to a 30 yard dumpster
14 pick-up truck loads is equal to a 40 yard dumpster

The Garbage Bag Calculation - 13 gallon is a common size.

6 yard dumpster – aprox 30 bags
10 yard dumpster – aprox 45 bags
12 yard dumpster – aprox 60 bags
15 yard dumpster – aprox 70 bags
20 yard dumpster – aprox 90 bags

The Oven Calculation

A typical size of an oven is 3’ X 3’ X 3’. This is 1 cubic yard. 

6 ovens is equal to a 6 yard dumpster
10 ovens is equal to a 10 yard dumpster
